Dr. Ume Sughra is a medical graduate with Fellowship degrees from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow (FRCP) and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (FCPS). She is a researcher and academician with teaching experience of more than 15 years having numerous research publications on her credit published in national and international research journals. Dr. Nasir Iqbal is an economist. His specialized areas are Social Protection, Trade and Poverty.
He is certified in modeling and prognosticating socioeconomic issues.
He has also remained as the Additional Director General of Pakistan’s Largest social protection program (Benazir Income Support Program).
He has also worked with World Bank, Asian Development Bank, DFID, ILO and MIT, Harvard and LSE universities as well.
Ayesha tuz Zehrais serving SPRC as Research Analyst. She is a PhD (Econometrics) Research Scholar and focuses on econometric modeling & policy reforms. Her previous educational background in mathematics combined with economic knowledge helps her to create evidence-based policies.
Her areas of specialization include data collection, interpretation and analysis using econometric models, statistical techniques with the use of modern software techniques and designing surveys. She has designed various econometric models to quantify the social protection needs of the country. She is contributing to the research reports, working papers and development of indices for the organization.
Haider Nazir Chattha did his graduation in Sociology from International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) and now working with Social Protection Resource Centre (SPRC) as Research Associate. His areas of interest include healthy ageing, sustainable development, social welfare, disability, pandemics and transformative social protection.
He is working with the Research Unit in reports, policy briefs, working papers and projects. Along with this, he is actively engaged with the organization as a survey manager and conducts surveys for the research being produced. Moreover, he also provides administrative services to the organization and look after the financial and managerial matters as well.
Kinza Nawaz has done her graduation in BS Sociology from International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) & now working with Social Protection Resource Center (SPRC) Islamabad. Her areas of interest are Social Protection, WASH, Climate Change, Immunization, Pandemic & Public Health. She is working with the research unit in reports, policy briefs & working papers.
Ghulam Fatima is a Development Economist graduated from Quaid i Azam University and her area of interest includes Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis, Macroeconomics Policy Analysis, Data Analysis, Social Sector Development. Currently she is working as Research Associate at SPRC and actively engages in Data Analysis, Data Collection, Writing Policy Briefs and Concept Notes, Project Proposal Development and Research Related Articles.
Taskeen Abbas is an MPhil graduate in Economics from the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE). Previously, she has worked with PIDE as a Research Assistant and currently she is working with SPRC as a Research Associate.
Her areas of interest include social protection, employment, industry, socio-economic issues and evidence-based policy review and analysis.
Sidra Ahmed is an NUST graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and currently working as a Research Associate at SPRC. Her areas of interest include macroeconomic policy analysis, quantitative analysis, and data interpretation.
At SPRC, Sidra contributes to Research and Project Management Units and actively engages in data mining, writing research reports & papers, project proposal development, and networking.
Osama Asghar has completed his Intermediate in Computer Science and currently working at SPRC as a Graphic Design Intern. Previously, he worked as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) at Vertex BPO. He is also learning Chinese language from NUML.
With more than one year of experience in graphic designing, his areas of expertise include designing of reports, infographics, policy briefs, and maps with the help of updated software including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and ArcGIS.
Muzammal Afzal is a researcher and M.Phil Economics graduate from Applied Economics Research Center Karachi, with a special focus on political economy, social welfare and development. He has more than five years of research experience in areas of economic development, political economy, education, good governance, parliamentary reforms and youth & community development. He has experience of working with national/international development organizations and public policy think tanks.
