Pakistan has a fragmented social protection system. Currently, there is no consolidated database that could be used for mapping the coverage of social protection programs in a comprehensive manner with the required data disaggregation and sundry parameters.
This Webinar is expected to generate an informed debate on the data requirements for the development of a Universal Social Protection (USP) policy and to examine the data gaps that need to be addressed in the context of instituting a USP Policy in line with upholding our constitutional obligation [Principles of Policy – Article 38(c)] and in conjunction with our international commitments.
