The Social Policy Resource Centre (SPRC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Rights, conducted an online policy discussion on September 5, 2024, focusing on the “Challenges of Elderly Care in Islamabad.” This event was organized by the Elderly Grievance Redressal Committee to foster dialogue on improving elderly care in light of the Islamabad Capital Territory Senior Citizens Act, 2021. The discussion brought together various experts and stakeholders to explore solutions for addressing the growing needs of the elderly, including enhancing social support services, healthcare systems, and financial assistance, while combating ageism.
