About

Social Protection as a term gained a wide currency as the collective response by the governments and societies to the protection of citizens against the outcomes of long-standing poverty and increasing inequality. The strategies, policies and programmes undertaken by the governments to address what they define as their Social Protection challenge continue to evolve. It was however felt by the members of Pakistan Alliance for Social Protection (PASP) established in the wake of COVID-19 in Pakistan in early 2020, that there was a need to establish a Think Tank dedicated to produce scholarly knowledge on the all the aspects of Social Protection in Pakistan.
